The regeneration methods of old asphalt pavement mainly include in-situ regeneration and plant mixing regeneration. The former can be divided into in-situ geothermal regeneration and in-situ cold regeneration. Let's talk about the relevant content!
The in-situ cold recycling construction process can be used for the reconstruction of damaged pavement and subgrade from 100mm to 500mm. First, milling, crushing and collecting the old pavement materials, adding a certain amount of lime, cement, emulsified asphalt or foam asphalt and other additives, and then mixing them as the recycled base course mixture. A wearing course and appropriate surface treatment shall be covered on the base course as the surface course to form a new road for use.
For geothermal regeneration construction, a comprehensive regeneration and resurfacing unit is used to continuously realize the process schemes of heating, scarifying, adding regenerant, heating mixing and paving. The scheme requires that the road surface layer is slightly damaged, and the connection layer and foundation layer are relatively intact. The pavement thickness of the old pavement is greater than 50mm, the damage depth of various pavement diseases is less than 50mm, the penetration of the old asphalt is more than 20 (1/10mm), and the crack area is less than 40% Geothermal regeneration is characterized by short construction period, small traffic disturbance, small transportation volume and good environmental protection. However, the equipment system is complex, the technical level is high and the investment is large. The process flexibility is poor, and the existing paving equipment and technology cannot be used.
In addition, the leasing manufacturer of cold regeneration machine thinks that we need to know more about the relevant regeneration contents, such as:
Plant mixing and recycling is to transport the milled old asphalt pavement materials to the mixing plant (station). After crushing and screening, some or all of the old materials are used according to the requirements of different old materials and renovated roads. Certain asphalt or regenerant is added. After heating and mixing, the materials are transported to the construction site for paving and rolling. Plant mixing regeneration can be divided into continuous type and intermittent type.
The plant mixing regeneration process and quality are easy to control. It can regenerate different old materials. It is suitable for the regeneration of a variety of materials. The construction period is long, the traffic interference is large, and the transportation cost is large. However, the existing construction equipment can be used. The investment is small, and it is easy to start the project.
