As we all know, in the process of paving operations, it is necessary to comprehensively consider many influencing factors in order to achieve high-quality paving.

If the material head before the ironing plate is too large and the temperature is too low, it will have a negative impact on pre compaction and the floating of the ironing plate.

Maintaining a constant amount of material before ironing is beneficial for the perfect float of the ironing plate.

The thicker the paving layer, the stronger the supporting force on the ironing plate.

The proportional controlled scraper feeder and spiral distributor provide the possibility of retaining the desired amount of material heads before the ironing plate.

Hammer stroke and hammer speed

The amplitude of the hammer stroke and the speed of the hammer are important factors affecting the pre compaction of paving materials and the floating of the ironing plate.

The hammer stroke of the Fogler ironing plate can be set to different lengths. The longer the stroke of the hammer, the more ideal its pre compaction effect and compaction depth. Therefore, the setting of the hammer stroke should be matched with the paving thickness to obtain a positive paving elevation angle. If the relative paving thickness of the hammer stroke is set too long, it will lead to a negative elevation angle of the ironing plate, resulting in cracks in the paving layer and even uneven paving layer.

The matching between the speed of the hammer and the driving speed of the paver will have a significant impact on the pre compaction of the paving layer. This means that the speed of the compactor must be adjusted to match the walking speed of the paver, or the walking speed of the paver must be changed to match the speed of the compactor. However, the ideal proportion relationship is difficult to determine, and necessary adjustments should be made according to specific working conditions to minimize the elevation angle of the ironing plate paving, thereby reducing the wear of the paving material on the bottom plate of the ironing plate.

Ironing plate hardness

When the elevation angle of the flatbed is significantly changed or unilaterally changed, it may cause the flatbed to twist.

Screed anti climbing lock

Screed locking is a brief locking action performed by the paver in the floating mode of the scraper before continuing to move after the paver has stopped. At this time, about 30 bar of pressure is applied to the piston end of the lifting cylinder of the ironing plate, which can avoid the protrusion of the paving surface caused by the lifting of the ironing plate when starting work again.

Paving speed

The paving speed determines the pre compaction effect of the paving surface.

The paving speed and the material head before the ironing plate should match each other.

When high-speed paving is carried out, the consumption of paving materials is high, so timely supply of paving materials should be ensured.

The paving speed should be controlled within the range where the material truck can continuously and uninterrupted supply the paving machine.

The paving speed has a crucial impact on the pre compaction of the paving layer. It is advisable to maintain a small paving elevation angle as much as possible to avoid paving protrusions and achieve a pre compaction effect. The speed of the paver is directly proportional to the paving elevation angle, so the paving speed should be controlled within the range of small elevation angle paving.

Vibration frequency

When conducting thick layer paving, the frequency of the vibrator will have a certain impact on the pre compaction effect. Due to the need for a dense and flat paving surface for the wear layer, the frequency of the vibrator is more important for the paving of the wear layer.

Pressure beam frequency and pressure

The pressure beam swings up and down under the drive of pulsed hydraulic flow. This pulse is generated by a rotating distribution valve installed on the ironing plate, with a frequency between 58 and 68 Hz. The hydraulic cylinder drives the pressure beam for the entire paving width. After the pulse ends, the pressure beam returns to its original position under the push of the reverse spring. The pulse pressure acting on the pressure beam determines the stroke of the pressure beam.
